Keep it light! Krui is all about easy-going, relaxed vibes, so you won’t need much in your suitcase — just the essentials, your surf gear, and a big smile

Surf Shop / Ding Repair:

Limited local surf shops, so it’s best to come prepared with extras like fins, leashes, and grips.

Ding repair: There is a decent local repairer who can collect your board on-site if it needs fixing. He does a good job, fast and cheap, and even snaps boards when necessary.

For a more polished finish, a shop 30 minutes away is also available.
Surf for Beginners:

Krui is not ideal for complete beginners, though some manageable days exist.

Intermediate/advanced beginners can enjoy certain waves.
Surf Coaching:

Available Nov–March with in-house surf guides.

Can be added to your trip to improve skills and enjoy more waves.

✅ Check your passport — it must be valid for at least 6 months on arrival.

As a tourist, you can apply for a B1 Visa on Arrival (VOA), valid for 30 days and extendable once for another 30 days.

✈️ Getting to Krui

Fly to/from Jakarta International Airport, give plenty of time after arrival or before departure (recommended 3 hours at least) then fly to Bandar Lampung (TKG)

Note: Bandar Lampung–Krui flights operate twice weekly with one arrival/departure only via Susi Air (12-seater aircraft) find it on traveloka.com, however be aware that this is not the most reliable way to get to Krui due to their frequent changes and cancellations, if you need more info we are happy to provide it if you have a booking with us

There are local clinics for minor issues including stitches, ear infection etc; nearest hospital ~1 hour away.
